Art Meets Beat Night
Thursday, May 18th at the CMHACY Conference
During our conference scheduled for May 2017 in Pacific Grove, CA, CMHACY is adding an art show as the newest addition to our youth led activities. Other youth led activities include workshops, keynote speakers, dance, and much more. Scheduled during Mental Health Month, the goal of the art show is to display work from youth and those who support them who have had experiences with mental health services. Whether its poetry, photography, drawings, paintings, sculpture, or other forms of art, we want to share your expression of your personal lived experiences with CMHACY conference attendees
Art will be displayed in Merrill Hall on Thursday evening of the conference (May 18th). Each item will be introduced by our emcee beginning at 8:00pm. Merrill Hall will also be the location of the annual dance immediately following the introduction of art until 11:00pm. This year’s dance has a Super Hero theme. Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes. The evening activities will include food, a craft table for those who want to express themselves artistically, and a photo booth.
