Youth and Parent Developed Activities at the Upcoming CMHACY Conference

Join the Youth, Parent, and Family Committee of the California Mental Health Advocates for Children and Youth, a unique partnership of youth, partners and families with lived experiences, for our annual pre-conference in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, May 16-19, 2017. Grab your passport and register from 12:30-2:00 PM at Merrill to learn more about our weeklong activities, workshops, and social events.

Tuesday kicks off our Leadership Academy with a youth, parent and family scavenger hunt, touring the grounds and getting oriented to the many ways youth and family leaders can Put The Pieces Together for mental health empowerment. Please come prepared to have interactive team building, collaborative challenges and get oriented to the history and goals of our conference.

We will have day and week long chances to provide talent, insight, and experiences for change. There will be creative and formal expressions, including evening receptions to network with other youth and parent advocates, create art with a message, voice policy ideas during workshops and panels, and submit items and performances for our Thursday Art Meets Beat Night. If you are a youth, parent or family leader and want to submit art or performance ideas early, please click on the link below:
